Quiche with thin wholemeal base and broccoli
Phase 2 quiche with paper-thin wholemeal base and broccoli, protein-rich and meal-prep-friendly.
The quiche with thin wholemeal base and broccoli shows how you make a classic just a little sturdier without making it heavy. A paper-thin layer of wholemeal wraps gives a pleasant structure, whilst just-tender broccoli and creamy quark keep the whole thing light and fresh. A hint of paprika powder makes every slice flavourful.
In Phase 2, there is room for a bit more carbohydrate, and this quiche fills that cleverly. The wholemeal base delivers slow, fibre-rich energy, whilst eggs, quark and cheese provide a generous protein serving. That balance between protein and complex carbohydrates keeps you full for long and fits perfectly within a protein diet. So you eat varied without losing control.
Lovely with a large green salad or a spoonful of spicy tomato salsa on the side. For a filling lunch, combine this protein-rich broccoli quiche with a bowl of lean quark as dessert.
