Quick spicy edamame for Phase 1: high-protein, few carbohydrates and perfect to take with you.

8 min totaal 1 portie 190 kcal p.p. 18 g protein

This spicy edamame snack box is on the table in five minutes and gives you a warm, savoury snack packed with plant-based protein. The chilli flakes and roasted garlic provide a surprising spicy bite that keeps you reaching for one more from the pod.

For Phase 1 you're looking for snacks that are strictly high-protein with few carbohydrates, and edamame is an ideal choice for that. With 18 grams of protein per serving and a good dose of fibre, this legume keeps you feeling full for a long time, whilst the carbohydrates remain limited. This way you support your high-protein diet with a plant-based option that still tastes great.

Delicious with a wedge of lime to squeeze over the pods, or with an extra pinch of coarse sea salt for those who love salt. Cold from the lunch box they taste just as good as warm from the pan.
