Mango-yoghurt protein mousse

An airy mousse with mango and Greek yoghurt for Phase 4, balanced and protein-packed.

12 min totaal 2 porties 290 kcal p.p. 22 g protein

Soft, fruity and surprisingly airy, this mango-yoghurt mousse almost melts on your tongue. Sweet tropical mango against fresh Greek yoghurt makes it a refined dessert that feels light yet still satisfying, thanks to whipped egg white that gives the mousse its fluffy texture.

For Phase 4, balance is the key, and this mousse delivers that perfectly. Greek yoghurt and vanilla protein powder provide well over twenty grams of protein, whilst the fresh mango adds balanced carbohydrates. That ratio fits nicely within a protein diet, as the protein gives a satisfying feeling that makes a fruity pudding here a conscious, balanced choice that aligns perfectly with the maintenance phase of Phase 4.

Lovely with a few pieces of fresh mango or a pinch of roasted coconut for a tropical finish.

Zo maak je het

  1. Puree the mango into a smooth puree.
  2. Mix the yoghurt with protein powder and the mango puree.
  3. Whip the egg white with a pinch of salt until stiff.
  4. Gently fold the stiff egg white through the yoghurt mixture.
  5. Season with stevia.
  6. Divide between glasses and chill for at least an hour before serving.

Bewaren

Due to the raw egg white, this mousse is best kept covered in the fridge for no more than one day. Serve well chilled so the light texture really shines.

Variatietips

Replace the mango with passion fruit or peach for a different tropical flavour. A layer of granola at the bottom gives the mousse a pleasant crunchy contrast.
