Grilled beef skewers with paprika
Lean beef skewers with paprika provide some healthy carbs for Phase 2.
Grilled beef skewers with paprika make every barbecue a celebration. Tender beef, marinating in paprika powder and garlic, alternates with sweet red peppers and red onion that lightly caramelise on the grill. The result is a savoury, colourful and solidly protein-rich dish that delights both the eye and the taste buds.
In Phase 2 of your protein diet, there's a bit more room for healthy carbohydrates, and these skewers cleverly make use of that. With around 40 grams of protein from the lean beef, you support your muscles, whilst the peppers and onion provide a modest amount of natural carbs and extra fibre. That balance between plenty of protein and some slow carbohydrates keeps your energy stable and your satiety levels up.
Lovely with a fresh salad of leafy greens, or a portion of grilled vegetables and a spoonful of herb quark. This keeps you well within Phase 2 guidelines without sacrificing any flavour.
