Greek Yoghurt with Strawberry and a Touch of Stevia

Full Greek yoghurt with a small amount of fresh strawberry and stevia, a light and protein-rich breakfast for Phase 1.

4 min totaal 1 portie 180 kcal p.p. 20 g protein

This Greek yoghurt with strawberry and a touch of stevia is fresh, creamy and gently sweet without excess. The full yoghurt forms a silky-smooth base, whilst the strawberry slices add a juicy, natural flavour. A pinch of cinnamon makes the whole thing warm and inviting.

Why this recipe fits Phase 1: with twenty grams of protein and deliberately few carbohydrates, this breakfast stays nicely within the guidelines of this phase. The protein-rich yoghurt gives a pleasant feeling of fullness, whilst the small amount of fruit keeps carbohydrates low. That way your blood sugar stays stable and the dish fits effortlessly within the protein diet.

Complete it with a few fresh mint leaves or an extra teaspoon of unsweetened cinnamon for depth. If you need more protein, stir in a spoonful of low-fat quark.

Zo maak je het

  1. Spoon the Greek yoghurt into a bowl.
  2. Stir in the stevia and cinnamon.
  3. Scatter the strawberry slices on top and serve immediately.

Bewaren

Serve this breakfast fresh, as the strawberries will soon release moisture. Without the fruit, the spiced yoghurt will keep for two to three days in the fridge; freezing is not necessary.

Variatietips

Swap the strawberry for raspberries or blueberries for a different fruit flavour. If you prefer it creamier, you can replace half the yoghurt with lean cottage cheese.
